Hello there! I am a dedicated mental health therapist born and raised in the Peace
Country. Currently, on the path to becoming a Registered Provisional Psychologist, I
recently achieved the Dean's List recognition for academic excellence upon completing
my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Capella University.
My fervor for mental health extends beyond mere professional ambition—it is a calling. I channel this passion into the realm of eating disorder prevention and treatment, a
subject close to my heart. I've shared my insights through compelling speeches at the
University of Alberta hospital, offering support to individuals grappling with eating
disorders. Moreover, I've had the privilege of presenting on this crucial topic to fellow
psychologists and students in Grande Prairie.
While eating disorders hold a special place in my expertise, my commitment extends to
a myriad of mental health challenges. From anxiety, depression, and obsessive-
compulsive disorder (OCD) to perfectionism, body dysmorphic disorders (BDD),
muscular dysmorphia, personality disorders, mood disorders, trauma, interpersonal
difficulties, and relationship discords—I stand ready to guide adolescents and adults
through the spectrum of mental health concerns.
My approach is holistic, emphasizing the strengths of each individual. I create an
empowering, non-judgmental environment to foster growth. I firmly believe that social
and behavioral challenges stem from emotional dysregulation and buried pain and
trauma. Through dedicated healing and hard work, I wholeheartedly affirm that
everyone possesses the capacity to lead an optimal and fulfilling life. Let's embark on
this transformative journey together.
I am a Registered Provisional Psychologist and I hold a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology with a Forensic specialization. With that, I have been exposed to the various connections between psychology and the legal system. I am also a member of the Psychologists Association of Alberta. Life can be a rollercoaster of challenges, experiences and emotions that sometimes, we need some help working through. I am committed to maintaining an open-minded, judgment free environment where clients can feel safe and supported while focusing on their personal journeys. I am able to provide support and skills to those dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, parenting support, postpartum, self-esteem, stress, grief, and more to individuals in need. In my practice I utilize evidence-based approaches, specifically, cognitive-behavioural therapy, while also integrating various other techniques and strategies as needed to best suit each individual client. I look forward to working collaboratively to find the best tools and strategies for you to overcome current and future obstacles.
